This course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge to work in the field of health promotion, or expand on your existing experience and research abilities. You will plan, implement and evaluate health promotion programs in various settings, develop your research skills, and examine current issues in optimising health and prevention of disease.

In this course the major studies include the skills and knowledge to work in the field of health promotion, or expand on your existing experience and research abilities. The major studies also includes the planning , implementation and evaluation of health promotion programs in various settings as well as development of research skills, and examining current issues in optimising health and prevention of disease.
A relevant bachelor degree plus two years of subsequent work experience, which is assessed on the basis of job description, level of seniority and responsibility, work-based referee report, publications or other written reports, and short courses or conference attendance.
Graduates are eligible for membership of the Australian Health Promotion Association and the Public Health Association of Australia.
This course opens many doors to a career in health promotion. Upon graduation, you may choose to seek work at a ‘grass roots’ level developing community based health promotion programs; become involved in broadbased social marketing campaigns; or conduct health promotion intervention research.
