This course will help you build a bridge between culture and academia to bring a variety of opportunities, such as education, employment and training, within reach.You will be immersed in the university environment while you are prepared for mainstream studies. Through this course we will provide you with the skills you need to make the transition into a university undergraduate degree course. You will gain valuable communication skills, and independent learning and study techniques. You will develop a positive sense of Aboriginal identity and self-esteem, achieve a greater sense of empowerment and self-determination in the context of the wider community and enhance your employment potential.This course embraces cultural diversity by exposing you to cultural commonalities, encouraging you to recognise your own cultural background, being aware of different cultural perspectives and engaging with contemporary social and cultural issues. It will provide you with a support service to assist you in areas such as accommodation, child care arrangements and study programs. Academic tutoring is also available if you need assistance with assignment preparation and subjects within the course.On successful completion of this course you will be eligible for entry into a range of Curtin's degree and associate degree programs
