Business Information Systems are the lifeblood of organizations in today's increasingly automated world - offering an infinite number of diverse and complex functions enabled by the explosion of internet applications and increasing sophistication of databases and other business software. As an Information Systems professional, Students will be armed with the tools needed to understand the complexity of these systems - positioning as highly valued asset within any number of industry sectors or professions. Students will also learn how information is generated, communicated, stored and applied in the context of its use in businesses. Development of appreciation for the potential of technology to create real business solutions by learning about: systems planning, analysis, design and development. Web authoring, project management and the design and management of databases and communication networks are also involved in this course.
