In this course, students will learn to link management decisions with local, regional and global sustainability initiatives. Students will be equipped to develop clear alternatives for professional organizations to secure a sustainable future, in both economic and environmental terms. Students can combine this course with another major to create own degree specialization - e.g. with Environmental Science, Management or Marine Science. Every organization is facing increasing pressure to factor environmental costs and concerns into its operations, so students can forge a career path as an in-demand environmental manager in any industry.

Major studies focuses on gaining of indepth knowledge of environmental science and management.
Graduates may be eligible for membership with the following professional bodies: Environment Institute of Australia, Legal Practitioners Admissions Board. Graduates can look to be employed by engineering, environmental, planning and architectural consulting firms, land developers, power and water utilities, waste management and pollution control companies, international development agencies and government agencies to design and manage engineered systems. Locally and nationally - engineering firms require more high caliber graduates in the current and future growing economy for sustainable development, eg water resources development, sustainable construction, engineered systems for land management and carbon sequestration.
