In this course student will study the detailed information related to human body, learning about physiology, biomechanics, nutrition and psychology as well as recognizing conditions, creating rehabilitation and fitness programs. As a graduate students will be working with other health professionals to help people manage conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, arthritis and cancer to help them create healthier, happier lifestyles. Our experienced and dynamic teaching staff will also help student through theoretical and practical training to build confidence and skill in preparing for the real world. Demand for Exercise Physiologists continues to grow as more healthcare providers recognise the role fitness and exercise play in complete health management -providing plenty of careers opportunities in public and private hospitals or private practice.
Basic knowledge of biolgy.
Development of skills related to human body, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition and psychology as well as recognizing conditions, creating rehabilitation and fitness programs are all included as major concept of study.
Completion of a Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent in the same discipline or cognate area with a Credit average,subject to availability of a suitable supervisor and approval by the Dean of School.
Students after pursuing this degree from Murdoch university are allowed to apply to ESSA for accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP). The units and outline of the current program have been developed with the intent that they will fulfil the requirements for self-application as an AEP. With accreditation, Students will be recognised by Medicare Australia, the Department of Veterans Affairs and many health insurers.

As a Sports Scientist, you strive to improve the fitness of your athletes so that they may perform to their maximum potential.
