This course will help to understand the human condition and human nature by examining evidence from the past. Murdoch University will help to develop critical and creative thinking to sharpen communication skills. Murdoch University prepares student for these demands by developing critical and creative faculties through research, analysis and writing. Students can choose areas of study from the following broad categories: Cultural history focuses on the histories of Australia, Europe and the British Isles, South-East Asia and the United States, often in a comparative mode, Regional history examines the development of modern nation states, thematic history explores key international historical themes that have contemporary relevance.
