In this course students will gain a solid grounding in network design, network administration and network management, routers and switches that form the core of modern networks, as well as introduction to some of the cutting-edge devices and computer applications that integrate and secure voice, video and data communications. Many of our units prepare student’s to sit for valuable industry certifications such as the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). Murdoch’s course also offers the chance to specialize, with a choice of additional subjects ranging from computer and network security management to Voice over IP. Student’ s can also create a powerful combination of knowledge and skill through a combined degree.Our internetworking and security degree works well with just about any other major within the School of Information Technology, as well as majors offered by other disciplines across Murdoch.
