In this course student will concentrate on mathematical modelling or applied statistics. Statistics examines procedures for the acquisition, management, exploration and use of information, to learn from experience in situations of uncertainty, and to make decisions under risk. Through the study of Mathematics and Statistics, Students will learn to solve problems with logical and systematic analysis and earn yourself the expertise to excel in a multitude of different professions. Mathematical modeling emphasizes on methods and applications in the life and environmental sciences as well as engineering. Applied statistics concentrates on methods and applications in the life and health sciences, the environment, commerce and industry. Depending on the subjects chosen by student , student will study practical mathematics or statistics principles with a flexible outlook , technical skills and an awareness of the modern uses of statistics and mathematics.

Depending on skill combinations or specializations students have, Murdoch degree may lead student towards work and study opportunities in a number of areas. The following are some professions to consider, including extra majors that will improve your prospects of achieving them. Chemical Engineer:- Chemical Engineers design equipment and processes for large-scale chemical manufacturing, plan and test methods of manufacturing products and treating byproducts, and supervise production. Physical and Theoretical Chemist:-Physical and Theoretical Chemists study the physical characteristics of atoms and molecules and the theoretical properties of matter and investigate how chemical reactions work. Macromolecular Chemist:- Macromolecular Chemists study the behaviour of atoms and molecules.
