This course will expose all aspects of the discipline of psychology including the study of abnormal, developmental, social, cognitive, learning and perceptual processes in this practically balanced course. Students will explore aspects of psychology such as thinking and remembering, neurological processing, personality, health and illness, group interaction and development across the life-span. Students will also learn how to conduct basic quantitative and qualitative research and develop reporting and analytical skills. Adding a specialization to Psychology degree improves employment prospects. Murdoch's Bachelor of Psychology students are also guaranteed access to a fourth year of study, which includes a practical placement to help cement your knowledge and skills.

Major studies involves the scientific study of mental functions and behaviors. Concepts such as perception, cognition, attention, emotion, phenomenology, motivation, brain functioning, personality, behavior, and interpersonal relationships are studied.
The students after completing this degree is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), and recognized by the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
As a graduate of the Bachelor of Psychology students will be eligible to apply for admission to seek conditional registration as a psychologist in Western Australia, or to the Master of Applied Psychology in either Clinical or Organizational Psychology, successful completion of this degree will allow student to apply for full registration as a psychologist in Western Australia.Students will also have additional career paths within the fields of counseling, human resources, occupational safety and health, training, marketing and social research.
