Murdoch University

In this course students will learn about design, uses and implementation of renewable energy technology for a sustainable future. With this course students will focus on systems for electricity generation and learn about the availability and distribution of renewable energy resources, including solar radiation, wind, hydro, tidal, wave and biomass. Students will get to use simulation programs, giving hands-on experience in implementation and design of working systems. Students will also get real life industry experience through required work experience as well as having access to the best renewable energy research facilities in Australia. After realizing the importance of sustainability in commercial and industrial sectors the students will have many career options with Renewable Energy Engineering degree.
Basic knowledge of energy and physics.
Major studies focuses on electricity generation and about the availability and distribution of renewable energy resources, including solar radiation, wind, hydro, tidal, wave and biomass.
As per normal undergraduate admission requirements. It is recommended that students have completed the equivalent of Mathematics 3C/3D, Mathematics: Specialist 3C/3D, Physics 3A/3B and Chemistry 3A/3B. Students who do not have the necessary Mathematical and Physics prerequisite knowledge may take an extra semester to complete their studies.
