This course helps students to gain knowledge related to history, beliefs and practices of the Christian tradition.In this four-year course, you'll explore history, literature, social sciences and philosophy to gain an in-depth understanding of how the Christian tradition has developed - and its meaning and value today.Students will also study units in Biblical Studies, Church History, Systematic Theology and Practical Theology, and can choose optional units in Religious Studies.Murdoch university’s Theology course is administered in association with the Perth College of Divinity Inc. It builds on our Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theology with a fourth year of study which allows students to qualify for ministry.

Students after completing this course from murdoch university and after meeting all Church requirements, Students will be eligible for ordination in the Anglican Church of Australia and the Uniting Church of Australia.
After completing graduation from Murdoch university, Employment outlook of student becomes bright, Especially after combining it with other disciplines. Murdoch degree will lead students towards many opportunities for work and study, especially in the spheres of ministry and religion, the skills in critical thinking by which students will get with a Theology degree. The following are some professions to consider. Ordained Minister / Priest / Pastor :-This is for people who feel called to lead a Christian community. They need to be able to represent and communicate the values of that community to its members, to people on its edge, and to those outside. Chaplains:- Chaplains work in different communities such as schools, prisons and hospitals. They work to address the social, emotional, physical, mental and spiritual needs of those for whom the institution exists (such as students or patients or prisoners), as well as staff and families. Teacher:-Teaching is an activity calling for a range of high level skills and understandings to meet the needs of children, not just as learners but as whole people. Public Administrator:-Public Administrators work in the public sector in areas such as politics, health, public affairs, community and social services, government administration and education. They perform a range of administrative, research and policy tasks, where there are many opportunities to exercise the critical thinking skills and the understanding of human concerns and values gained in studying Theology.
