In this unique course, Students will gain a deep understanding and appreciation of the tourism industry, with a special focus on sustainable events and festivals. Students will also explore the wider tourism system, policy issues, and how cultural, environmental and economic factors impact the tourism industry and events. After graduating, Students will be qualified to work in a variety of fields in tourism and event management in local, regional, national and international working environments. And students can also pursue a career as a private sector tourism manager, events coordinator or planner, or even work in a government role in community development, tourism management and event development, promotion or evaluation.
Basic knowledge of tours and major knowledge of tourist places.
Major studies include gaining of deep understanding and appreciation of the tourism industry, with a special focus on sustainable events and festivals.
This programme is designed for students who have completed a foundation degree or equivalent with a hospitality, tourism and/or events management emphasis.
This course is accredited by the Institute of Hospitality (IoH). This programme is recognized and approved by the Tourism Management Institute.
After pursuing this degree, students gets employment as tourism managers, events coordinators, event planners, local government in community development through tourism management and event planning, promotion and organizing, state and federal government in tourism management and event development, promotion and evaluation.
