If student is already a qualified teacher, this certificate is designed to make drama teaching one of specializations, with a focus on middle school, lower secondary and post-compulsory years. As a specialist drama teacher, Students will have the opportunity to inspire students to gain confidence, improve the way they communicate and pursue their acting and performing ambitions. To apply for this course, Students need to have a Bachelor's degree or higher, or the equivalent training and a recognized teaching qualification. After completing this qualification, Students will have the option to upgrade to a Graduate Diploma in Education Studies by completing a further three units (12 points).
Good acting and communication skills.
Development of knowledge and understanding of the pedagogy and practice of drama education and leadership skills are involved as major part of study.
To be eligible to this course ,Students must have Recognized Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent training and a recognized and relevant teaching qualification. Students who are not qualified teachers but have had at least two years of full-time recent, relevant and satisfactory teaching experience may seek admission, but should note that the course does not constitute an initial teaching qualification. In these cases prerequisite enrolment in a teacher education major/course may be waived.
The students after completing this graduation gets employment opportunities as to become confident resource teachers in drama and graduate artists to devise effective school and community educational theatre programs.
