This course helps students to build knowledge and career in the Energy field. This course will teach students about methods of sustainable energy production and how to improve existing energy systems. Students will also explore social and environmental aspects of energy use, including the economy, policy and technology. With training in state of the art research and teaching facilities, Students will gain practical experience and learn from experts from areas like the Research Institute for Sustainable Energy RISE.
Basic knowledge of energy and physics.
Major studies focuses on understanding of the policy context of energy systems, the environmental impacts associated with these systems, and their assessment and subsequent monitoring.
A recognized Bachelor's degree, usually requiring at least three years of full-time study or its equivalent, or higher, or satisfactory preparation through a combination of previous study and work experience. For more details contact Study Excel.
Upon completion of this environmental course, Students will have the interdisciplinary training and qualifications to excel as a natural resource manager, with a full understanding of legal and policy obligations and how to minimize the risk of litigation.
After completing this course, Graduates can expect to gain employment in power generation companies, renewable energy manufacturing and installation companies, international aid organizations, government departments, energy efficiency and environmental consultancies, university and private industry research organizations.
