This course helps to expand knowledge of Energy Studies and improvement of usage of energy. As an Energy Studies student, you will learn about energy systems and management, as well as issues, including energy policy and economics. With this course students will also have the chance to train in our state of the art facilities, working with our industry-leading lecturers who are making electrifying changes to the field. Students will also have the opportunity to undertake a short research project and explore an area that he/she is really passionate about.
Basic knowledge of energy and physics.
Major studies focuses on gaining of detailed knowledge about energy systems and management, as well as issues, including energy policy and economics.
Recognised Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent training, in a related area. Students with alternative, satisfactory preparation may also be admitted. Some of the units taken assume some prior knowledge. Some students may therefore need to complete additional prerequisite units.
Upon completion of this environmental course, Students will have the interdisciplinary training and qualifications to excel as a natural resource manager, with a full understanding of legal and policy obligations and how to minimize the risk of litigation.
Students will have various career options within this rapidly growing area, enjoying specialist roles within power generation companies, renewable energy management and energy installation companies, government, as well as energy efficiency and environmental consultancies.
