This intensive program covers a wide range of topical issues and units pertinent to the IT industry. Develop your IT expertise to the highest professional level with a Doctor of Information Technology. During first two semesters student can choose from a selection of units and begin tailoring study program to suit interests. Following this, Students will undertake a dissertation aimed at making a significant contribution to professional practice in Information Technology.
Good knowledge of computers and internet.
Major studies include gaining of detailed knowledge related to information resources, communication and technology-related problems in businesses and other organizations.
Applicants should hold a four-year degree in Information Technology or a related discipline (or its equivalent). This may include an Honors degree or a postgraduate diploma in IT, Computer Science or Information Systems. Applicants without research preparation will receive research training as part of the degree.Applicants with a Master's degree in IT, including the MSc(IT), can get up to 24 points credit towards the DIT.
This program is accredited by the Australian Computer Society(ACS) and graduates become eligible for full professional membership.
The Doctor of Information Technology will develop extensive research and scholarly writing skills desired for middle to senior level Information and Communication Technology (ICT) professionals such as Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Information Security Officers (CISO), Chief Technology Officers, Development Managers, Enterprise Architects, IT Managers, IT Strategists, IT Policy Managers and ICT Consultants.
