In this course students will gain practical journalism skills in a real newsroom environment in our state of the art Media Arts Centre and boost understanding of the professional journalism industry with training from our industry-recognized lecturers.Students will also learn about news reporting and writing and have the chance to choose from units in print and broadcast journalism. This course will help you expand your career prospects in the media and creative industries.

Major studies includes development of good communication skills related to news writing and reporting, interviewing skills, online journalism, digital photo journalism, journalism ethics, citizen journalism, international journalism, public relations, reviewing music and movies, and writing about disasters, global energy issues, sports, travel, the arts, science and technology.
A recognized Bachelor's degree, usually requiring at least three years of full-time study or its equivalent, or higher, or satisfactory preparation through a combination of previous study and work experience. For more details contact Study Excel.

Journalist / Columnist / Writer / Editor:- Journalists gather news and information by interviewing people and attending events. They undertake research to provide background information for articles, write them within an established style and format, and edit as necessary. Radio Reporter:- Radio and Television Reporters often compose stories and report live from the scene. Media Liaison Officer:- Media Liaison Officers draft press releases and contact people in the media who might print or broadcast their material. Many radio or television special reports, newspaper stories, and magazine articles start at the desks of these specialists.
