Course Description
This course will help to prepare students to teach adults and share inspiration with others.

Major Studies
Major studies focuses on development of teaching skills related to current education theory and adult/tertiary student learning research from the perspective of teaching experiences. The emphasis is on improving student learning rather than on instructional methods .
Eligibility Criteria
Recognized bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent training, and will need to have acquired some experience of teaching adults before enrolling in the unit EDU470 Professional and Action Learning Project (see unit description for details). Applicants who do not have any experience teaching at the time of enrolment should consult with the Study Excel.
Professional Accreditation
Graduates are recognised by the Western Australian College of Teaching (WACOT) as well as the respective State, Catholic and Independent school departments, organisations and associations.
Career Prospectus
This course can help students to develop a career as a university lecturer or tutor, TAFE lecturer, nurse educator, adult literacy teacher, community adult educator or industrial training officer.Career prospects can be further enhanced by continuing on to the Master of Education and Doctoral studies.
