The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business offers students a broad foundation in a range of humanities and social sciences, and creative arts areas of study that is combined with another area of specialization in business. Arts areas of study include: Aboriginal Studies, Ancient Civilizations, Ancient Greek, Art Theory, Asian Religions and Comparative Philosophy, Asian Studies, Behavioural Studies, Chinese, Criminology, English, European Studies, French, Gender Studies, Geography and Environmental Studies, German, History, Indonesian, International Relations, Japanese, Journalism Media and Communications, Latin, Music History, Music Skills, Music Technology, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Policy and Sociology. Business areas of study include: Accounting, Business Economic, Business Logistics, Business Management, Corporate Governance, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, International Business, Marketing, Organizational Management and Tourism. Part-time study is not available to international students. International students are not eligible to study at the Cradle Coast campus.

The possession of the University's minimum entry requirements including in the case of Tasmanian school-leavers (TCE MT730) Mathematics Applied.Students returning to study after a long absence and/or new students lacking confidence in their quantitative skills should enroll in the unit UPP090 Bridging Maths or BEA109 Introduction to Quantitative Methods. The major objective of these units is to remove any Maths phobia experienced by first year students and along the way to provide a first acquaintance of business study applications of these techniques. The units lead gently into the elementary aspects of BEA140 Quantitative Methods. Part-time study is not available to international students, theInternational students are not eligible to study at the Cradle Coast campus.
Articulation to or form the course the students who have completed the Advanced Diploma of Business and have been admitted to the course will receive credit for the core compulsory units in Business. Credit towards the Business component on the basis of other qualifications may apply.The students can be eligible for membership of a professional body (upon selection of units which are endorsed),the professional bodies are Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia,CPA Australia,Australian Human Resources Institute,Australian Institute of Management,Australian Marketing Institute,Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries in Australia,Australian Institute of Banking and Finance,Australian Computer Society.
Graduates may gain employment in fields such as foreign affairs ,accounting ,advertising and marketing, business, management, tourism banking, human resource management, research, politics, information technology, public service.
