This course expands training and help to save our endangered world. Students will learn about advanced biodiversity conservation and explore issues associated with the interrelationships between human, animal and ecosystem health.Students will also have the chance to undertake a field placement, either in Australia or overseas, furthering knowledge and experience in an area student is passionate about. Students will learn how to treat sick and injured wild fauna, including wildlife cases and be able to choose from a range of topics relevant for veterinarians working with wildlife and zoo animals.
Basic knowledge of biology and zoology.

A recognized bachelor's degree in the same or a relevant area, usually requiring at least three years of full-time study or its equivalent, or higher, or satisfactory preparation through a combination of previous study and work experience.
Students will gain professional recognition from the Australian Veterinary Association .
After pursuing this degree, Students can undertake a conservation project and placement and will be able to pursue substantial investigation in a relevant area of conservation medicine, either in Australia or overseas. This course will expand your career prospects in endangered species recovery projects, as zoo veterinarians or in wildlife conservation through work in private practice. Students can also use this course as an academic pathway to the Master of Veterinary Studies in Conservation Medicine, gaining advanced standing for up to one semester, full time study.
