The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts, offers the students a broad foundation in a range of humanities and social sciences areas of study, as well as exposure to a range of creative disciplines , art and design theory. Arts areas of study include: Aboriginal Studies, Ancient Civilizations, Ancient Greek, Art Theory, Asian Religions and Comparative Philosophy, Asian Studies, Behavioural Studies, Chinese, Criminology, English, European Studies, French, Gender Studies, Geography and Environmental Studies, German, History, Indonesian, International Relations, Japanese, Journalism Media and Communications, Latin, Music History, Music Skills, Music Technology, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Policy and Sociology. Fine Arts areas of study include Art Theory, Electronic Media, Furniture Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture and Visual Communication. Also the are notified that the elective units in drawing and fabrication are also available.

The major studies included in this are development of basic knowledge, foundation in a range of humanities and social sciences. Also it gives an exposure to a range of creative disciplines and art and design theory.
Normal minimum university entry requirements apply, with the addition of at least a passing grade in a practically orientated pre-tertiary visual arts or design subject or TAFE certificate. Applicants who do not meet these requirements should submit a portfolio of recent work consisting of no more than 10 photographs, drawings, paintings or electronic images of wok and a statement outlining their interest in the course, including any relevant experience or qualifications. Part-time study is not available to international students
This course is accredited by Arts Victoria and The Australia Council for the Arts.
Graduates may gain employment in fields such a teaching art, craft and design advertising and marketing arts administration galleries and museums photography public service film, TV and radio publishing.
