The Bachelor of Fine Arts provides students a broad visual arts education in a wide range of disciplines. This course involves studio-based study, which is supported by a substantial program in art and design theory. This course also provides students with the skills that employers want, such as self-discipline, critical thinking, analysis, problem solving, research, communication (visual and verbal), creativity, physical stamina, poise, perseverance and versatility. Areas of study include Art Theory, Electronic Media, Furntiture Design,Painting, Photography, Printmaking Sculpture, Visual Communication.

The major studies included in this course is developing of knowledge related to a broader visual aspects in the event of arts education in a wide range of disciplines which is supported by a substantial program in art and design theory.
Normal minimum university entry requirements apply, with the addition of at least a passing grade in a practically orientated pre-tertiary visual arts or design subject or TAFE certificate. Applicants who do not meet these requirements should submit a portfolio of recent work consisting of no more than 10 photographs, drawings, paintings or electronic images of work and a statement outlining their interest in the course, including any relevant experience or qualifications.The part time is not available to International students. They may instead be offered admission to the Associate Degree in Arts, and if they successfully complete a probationary period can then transfer to the BFA.The Course counseling will be offered to all successful applicants prior to the start of semester, to discuss choice of studio and potential careers.
Articulation to or from the course the students who have completed a BFA degree(sufficient merit) are eligible to apply for entry to the BFA(Hons)) degree. In addition students who have completed a BFA degree with sufficient merit are eligible to apply for entry to the coursework postgraduate degrees. Students completing the Honours degree with sufficient merit are able to apply for entry to a research higher degree such as MFA or PhD. BFA graduates wishing to pursue a teaching career must also complete the two-year Bachelor of Teaching (BTeach) degree. This is a postgraduate qualification taken after graduating with a BFA. For transfer provision the students who are currently studying for a degree in another faculty are able to apply to transfer to the BFA.The credit may be given to the students who are accepted for transfer from other institutions can be given status for equivalent studies satisfactorily completed in bachelor degree programs in other universities. Applicants who are accepted for admission, and who have satisfactorily completed a related TAFE diploma, can be awarded status for up to one year or one-third of the degree requirement. Students who have completed another previous degree and are commencing study in the BFA will normally be granted 75% credit towards the BFA. Credit is granted for study completed within the past ten years but for those seeking credit for qualifications completed more than ten years ago, consideration will be given to evidence of continuing professional practice in the field.
Graduates may gain employment in fields such as art, craft and design, advertising and marketing, teaching, arts administration, galleries and museums, photography.
