The Bachelor of Social Science offers students to develop knowledge in a range of social science areas of study and the skills to apply these to real world issues. This course also provides students with the skills that employers want, such as self-discipline, critical thinking, analysis, problem solving, research, communication (visual and verbal), creativity, perseverance and versatility.The other areas of study include Aboriginal Studies.
General knowledge about Social Science.
The major studies included in the Bachelor of Social Science faculty is gaining of wide view of knowledge realetd to social science areas of study and the skills to apply these to real world issues.
Part-time study is not available to international students. Students on an international student visa must speak to International Services if they intend to undertake any study via distance education. Applicants will be expected to meet the minimum entry requirements, which include several categories of special admission, set by the University for entry to degree courses. No specific Faculty or subject prerequisites apply.
Articulation to or from the course the student who has completed or partly completed another degree from this University or another approved institution can apply for credit for their previous study towards the BSocSc degree. Units from courses offered by other faculties of the University may be included provided they do not exceed the permissible weighting.
Graduates may gain employment in fields such as social and market research, human resource management, public administration policy, analysis social welfare, administration psychology, politics criminology and corrections.
