This program advances understanding of international relations through the study of international relations theory, the global economy, international security and foreign policy.

In this course the major studies includes development of skills in problem solving and written and oral communications. Student will also study International Relations as part of a double major with: History, Japanese, Journalism, Geography (Sustainable Development), Anthropology and Sociology, Asian Studies, Business Law (Business), Chinese, Economics (Business).International Relations is offered as part of the Bachelor of Arts. Students can enhance studies with a secondary major or choose from a range of elective units to support your career goals. Students can also study international Relations as part of the Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts double degree. When coupled with Business Law or Economics students can complete this major as part of our Bachelor of Arts or our Bachelor of Commerce.
After pursuing this degree from Griffith employment opportunities are available in government, especially in diplomacy, strategic analysis, defense, immigration, trade and investment relations, international cultural contacts, and other areas of government departments with an international focus. Businesses with overseas profiles, international aid and other non-governmental organizations, news and media organizations, also provide employment for graduates. The research option provides the opportunity for entry into doctoral research (PhD).
