This certificate course allows students to gain maximum flexibility to tailor studies in population health to meet personal or professional interests and requirements. The course has been designed as a pathway for those who wish to enroll into a Master of Public Health but who do not have the required educational background.
Good knowledge of biology.
In this course development of creative skills about related to social, cultural, economic and environmental determinants of health and illness in populations and about the organization and delivery of public health services, including policies and practices that support and improve the health of people is studied as major concept of study.
International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
On completion of this degree, Graduates may become eligible for membership with the following professional bodies: Australian College of Health Service Executives, Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine, Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
This degree will provide skills, expertise, knowledge and understanding, which will assist students in taking the next step in career. This course leads to become Social Worker.
