This is 4-year full-time combined degree of Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Information Systems is offered on the Hobart campus by the Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology. The first year units are available at the Launceston Campus.

Major studies include gaining of fundamental concepts, knowledge and skills required to facilitate a career in business analysis, project management, data management or e-business in a global economy. This course will prepare students to support the strategic use of information systems to facilitate decision making within an organization.
While no prerequisites apply for the BBus component of the degree, students whohave notsuccessfully completed TCE MAP 5C Mathematics Applied, or an equivalent unit, or, a higher level mathematics unit, as approved by the School of Economics and Finance, are required to complete either KMA003 Mathematics Foundation Unit, UPP090Bridging Maths or BEA109 Introduction to Quantitative Methods before enrolling in BEA140 Quantitative Methods. International studentswho are required to undertake a mathematics bridging program may only take BEA109. Students who have completed a diploma or advanced diploma in a business related discipline from an Australian institute of TAFEmay receive credit towards the Business component of the degree. The Faculty of Business also offers direct credit for its awards. For example, a BBus student wishing to transfer to the BEc with credit and vice versa receives direct credit. BBus students wishing to transfer to a combined degree may also receive direct credit. Applicants wishing to obtain credit for study already undertaken within another faculty, or an Australian or overseas tertiary institution should consult the Admission Guide for information on procedure. In  the case of international students, credit for previous study will be determined on application. English language skills will also need to be verified. International students must provide an IELTS score with an overall Band of 6 and no band less than 5.5; or a TOEFL score of 550 with a Test of Written English score of no less than 4.5. The test must not be more than 24 months old.
Up on completion of this degree students become eligible for Associate membership of the Australian Computer Society. Associate membership of a professional body from the BBus component will depend on the major chosen.
Graduates of the combined degree could expect to find employment in areas such as those enumerated for the Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Information degrees. The professional recognition as an Associate membership of the Australian Computer Society.
