This course is designed to provide a holistic understanding of the use of exercise in the treatment of musculoskeletal and cardiovascular disability. Students are provided with a background in pathology and the contra-indications which apply in exercise therapy during the chronic stage of rehabilitation. The Graduate Diploma in Exercise Rehabilitation offers candidates the opportunity to gain a qualification in a specific area of professional training. Successful completion will satisfy the requirements necessary for specialist Exercise Physiologist accreditation by Exercise and Sports Science Australia. On successful completion of the Graduate Diploma, students are eligible to apply for admission to the Master's program as well.
Major knowledge of biology and yoga.
Major studies includes basic study of exercise in the treatment of musculoskeletal and cardiovascular disability and importance of exercise in the life span of human beings is studied.
International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
Successful completion of this course from University Of Western Australia will satisfy the requirements necessary for specialist Exercise Physiologist and this course is accreditated by Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
