This course is aimed at students with a variety of backgrounds who wish to broaden and update their knowledge and expertise in aspects of human Biology.The School of Anatomy and Human Biology provides diverse coursework and research opportunities in human biology, including theoretical studies in evolution, human variation and adaptation, human ecology, population and occupational health, and human reproduction. Students undertake a considerable amount of independent reading and guided project work such as survey design and analysis.
Major knowledge of biology .
Major studies focuses on gaining of detailed knowledge related to aspects of human Biology, Anatomy, theoretical studies in evolution, human variation and adaptation, human ecology, population and occupational health, and human reproduction.
International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
Graduates are eligible for membership of the Institute of Biology, the United Kingdom’s professional body for biologists, and the Society for the Study of Human Biology, an international scientific society for the general advancement and promotion of research in the biology of human populations in all its branches. Student membership of both organizations is also open to Human Biology students.
This degree will provide skills, expertise, knowledge and understanding, which will assist students in taking the next step for career. This course leads to become Anatomist or Physiologist, Health Promotion Officer, Sports Scientist.
