The Bachelor of Business / Bachelor of Science  double degree program equips graduates with a qualification in science, combined with a good understanding of basic business issues. Graduates will have a solid grounding in a core science discipline such as Biological Science, Chemistry or Mathematics, alternatively, students can design their own academic program within the Bachelor of Science course structure, including a science Major.
General knowledge aboout Business and Science.
The major studies included in this course are gaining of knowledge and skills in accounting, corporate governance, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, information systems, international business, in human resource management and tourism.
The Satisfactory Achievement result or better in Mathematics (Stage 3) or Mathematics (Stage 2) or Mathematics Applied. Students are encouraged to study some of the following subjects they are Computer Science, Chemistry, Geography, Environmental Science, Geology, Physics, Biology and Physical Sciences .Students who have not completed the Mathematics prerequisite may satisfy the prerequisite by successfully completing Mathematics Bridging Unit in the summer program offered by the School of Mathematics and Physics. In the case of international students, credit for previous study will be determined on application.
The Faculty of Business offers units to enable graduates after becoming eligible may apply to join the following professional bodies for membership(upon the selected units by the respective body), Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, CPA Australia, Australian Human Resources Institute, Australian Institute of Management, Australian Marketing Institute, Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries in Australia, Australian Institute of Banking and Finance, Australian Computer Society, National Institute of Accountants, The International Import-Export Institute, Institute of Management Consultants.
This stream prepares students to work in accounting, corporate governance, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, information systems, international business, in human resource management and tourism.
