The Graduate Diploma in Music Practitioner Studies promotes critical and analytic reflection on music performance, music pedagogy, music medicine, social anthropology and psychology.The Graduate Diploma in Music Practitioner Studies encourages students to investigate social, psychological, creative, educational, therapeutic, and anthropological music practitioner approaches. This course is based on a series of home-based learning assignments delivered through online and textbook materials. At all points of the course, the emphasis is on the students' practitioner experiences and needs.
Basic knowledge of music.
Major studies include development of basic skills related to music.
International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
This course is accredited by Skillset, the sector skills council for Creative Media and designed to meet the demands of the creative and cultural industries.
This course will further enhance music practitioner skills and knowledge and prepare students for the next level in their musical career. This course leads to become an Music Professional, Music Teacher, Musician.
