This course recognizes the inter-disciplinary nature of the clinical specialties in neurological rehabilitation and will provide graduate physiotherapists with tuition in clinical reasoning as well as assessment and treatment skills which have relevance to contemporary rehabilitation practice. In this course students will receive an overview of multidisciplinary rehabilitation for a range of neurological conditions, develop clinical reasoning skills and receive tuition in relevant assessment and treatment approaches. A review of contemporary literature related to the management of neurological conditions and their secondary consequences, and of mechanisms of neural recovery is also studied in this course.
Basic knowledge of biology .
Major studies include development of basic skills related to Neurological Rehabilitation.
International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
