The Graduate Diploma in Work Health and Safety helps student to develop knowledge and skills in the scientific, behavioral, legal and business aspects of Work Health and Safety. This graduate diploma is underpinned with the theme of providing the science behind policy and practice and involves opportunities for students to network with industry representatives and participate in work health and safety teams through practicum placement. The course is taught with sufficient content to satisfy the requisite knowledge for professional membership in a number of organizations.

International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
On completion of this degree from University of Western Australia, Student gets accreditation by the Australian OHS Education Board as an AQF level 8 qualification, which will allow students to apply for registration. This is a new initiative within Occupational Health and Safety nationally and will enhance the recognition of program, and the professional recognition of graduates. Graduates will also become eligible to apply for Chartered Professional Membership with the Safety Institute of Australia.
This degree prepares students for work in the education, government and private sectors. Potential roles include Safety and Health Managers, Ergonomists and Educator roles in government departments such as Work safe and this course leads to become an Occupational Health Professional.
