The Master of Architecture (coursework) comprises an intensive program in design, technology, theory and professional practice, supported by a range of option units. This course emphasizes on the application of concepts related to the design of specialized building projects, with a focus on issues that concern the servicing of complex buildings. Students will also learn about the integration of the various technical systems in the making of architecture. The final stage of a professional education in Architecture requires the completion of fully resolved projects taken to a developed design stage. This involves the integration of program development, site planning and organization, technological and servicing aspects with building planning, material selection and design detailing.Students will have the opportunity to undertake a number of option units to increase knowledge in specialized areas of design and architecture.
Major knowledge of physics and mathematics.
Major studies focuses on development of creative and practical skills for developing concepts, plans, specifications and detailed drawings for buildings and other structures.
International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
After completion of this course, Students will get accreditation from the Architects Board of Western Australia and will become eligible to register as an architect in Australia.
