This course intends to provide an educational qualification for Teacher Aides/School Support Officers/Home Schooling parents, and for those students wishing to exit from the four-year pre-service teaching degrees, Bachelor of Education (Primary) and Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood).
Basic knowledge of Education and teaching skills.
The major studies involved in this faculty are development of skills related to educational teachings in Integration Aides, Teacher Aides and School Support Officers.
The Faculty of Education will accept as a candidate for the Associate Degree (Education Support)if a person satisfies one of the following criteria such as the person must have an experience of integration Aide, School Support Officer or Teacher Aide, or equivalent in a classroom setting, a person who is working as a volunteer in a school in a classroom setting, a person who currently provide's Home schooling.The Associate Degree (Education Support) is available to students currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and Bachelor of Education (Primary) who choose to exit.
On successful completion of the Associate Degree of Education ,Support students may be granted advanced standing in the Bachelor of Inclusive Education and Disability Studies.
Graduates will be highly sought in education careers other than teaching in particular in a classroom setting as Integration Aides, Teacher Aides, and School Support Officers. Graduates will also be highly sought after in the industry training sector, and will be suited to communication-based jobs, public relations and other sectors that value graduates with well-developed problem-solving, communication and critical thinking skills.
