This course is designed for geoscientists who want to gain up-to-date knowledge and skills in economic geology and mineral exploration. This course will allow to study a spectrum of economic geology topics specifically related to the discovery and evaluation of ore deposits. This course provides a high-quality, advanced education in the geology and evaluation of ore deposits. It is designed for geologists with different levels of professional experience and offers a world-class education from international and Australian experts, an opportunity to improve geological, computing, exploration and management skills, and includes hands-on practical experience, field excursions and research. The course structure is flexible and allows a choice between coursework only and coursework plus a 24-point research project.
Good knowledge of metals and their ores
Major studies include development of knowledge and skills in economic geology and mineral exploration. A spectrum of economic geology topics specifically related to the discovery and evaluation of ore deposits is involved as major concept of study.
International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
