The Master of Pharmacy is an innovative graduate-entry program designed for those wishing to fast-track a rewarding and challenging career in the pharmacy profession. This course provides students with the academic qualification needed to begin the registration process to become a pharmacist. With a strong practical focus, the Master of Pharmacy is designed to deliver graduates advanced clinical skills, ready for prominent roles in all aspects of the profession and for leadership in the use of innovative evidence based practice. The course offers a mix of lectures, tutorials, labs, small group work, problem-based learning and clinical placements which develop valuable practical skills and experience. On completion of this degree, and following a compulsory pre-registration training period that is required for all students, Students will be eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and able to practice as a pharmacist.
Good knowledge of chemistry and biology.
Major studies include development of knowledge and skills related to composition and preparation of medicine
International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
Up on completion of this course from University of Western Australia students get opportunity to register with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
