Postgraduate Accounting studies will provide students with training in the technical aspects of the preparation of accounting data, developing of skills in the application of accounting information for solving problems and making decisions. Development of knowledge and skills in related professional disciplines such as finance, taxation, auditing and management is also involved in this course.The Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced) gives students the opportunity to complete additional electives from a range of business and commerce units. This course provides an opportunity for graduates to obtain a qualification that is recognized by the professional accounting bodies and wider business community and to broaden their study with a range of electives.
Basic knowledge of accountancy.
Major studies focus on development of in depth knowledge related to accountancy and tax is studied.
International students must have a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (where required), completed to a sufficiently high standard.
After pursuing this degree the students get accreditation from the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA Australia), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Graduates are eligible to enter the membership programs of these organizations.
