This specialist degree is designed for graduates to pursue research in aspects of Japanese studies. In this course suitable topics for research include contemporary social, cultural and political issues. Students are expected to be proficient in the Japanese language. It is expected that considerable use of non-English language sources, including academic literature, the press and televisual media, is made in research. Students will get opportunity to undertake independent, supervised research.
