The Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture is the foundation study for a career as an architect. Graduates from this program may apply to progress into the Master of Architecture designed to gain academic qualifications leading to accreditation for employment as an architect. This degree focuses on the design of buildings, urban systems, public places, transport nodes, and recreation and conservation areas specifically for the tropical/sub-tropical climates of the Asia-Pacific region design that embodies sustainability principles. Students will learn to think and write critically and analytically, and to apply this knowledge in achieving social equity, economic viability and environmental responsibility in your design solutions. This program combines academic studies, fieldwork and practical experience with an emphasis on studio learning and sustainable outcomes. As part of third year, Students need to undertake a supervised off-campus industry based design project.
