The industry is fast-paced, exciting and highly innovative.A typical advertising agency is made up of five primary disciplines: account management, planning, media, production and creative. The disciplines work together to deliver effective communications across television, radio, magazines, newspapers, outdoor and online activity.People who work in advertising need to have the ability to find solutions, and to work well and thrive under pressure. Careers in advertising range from account executive, copywriter, media planner, digital account manager and creative director.
At least English 2A/2B, Literature 2A/2B or English as an Additional Language/Dialect 2A/2B,Mathematics 2C/2D.
In this course the major studies include • Business principles • Processes involved in an advertising campaign • Creative elements in advertising and how to effectively apply them to a marketing project.Your study will involve hands-on experience with real clients and contact with advertising agencies.
Graduates may receive recognition from a range of professional bodies such as the Australian Institute of Management, the Australian Marketing Institute, theInstitute of Public Administration Australia, Marketing Research Institute of Australia, the Professional Sales and Marketing Institute and the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
