Faculty believes that significant graduate outcomes will include an ability to plan and manage successfully in an increasingly complex and turbulent national and international environment, within the framework of societal values, a high level of analytical, problem solving and communication skills, a creative, innovative and ethical approach in seeking new business opportunities and an ability to act as an agent of change in organisational transformation.

The major studies in the MBA program are development of business skills such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations management.
The Faculty of Business may accept as a candidate for the Master of Business Administration if applicant satisfy any of the following criteria such as a person who  has completed an undergraduate degree of an Australian higher education institution or the equivalent standard in any other institution, and  has atleast two years' of appropriate work experience or the equivalent with the approval of the Dean as delegated to the course coordinator,a person who has satisfactorily completed the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration of the University of Tasmania or an equivalent award of another Australian higher education institution. The International students must provide an IELTS test score or a TOEFL, Test of Written English score,the test must not be more than 24 months old.
Articulation to or from the course , the Graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration may receive full credit.This course is accredited by the Association of Masters in Business Administration (AMBA) and AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International.
The career options include management-level positions in industry or government such as Marketing, Finance, Personal/Home Business,marketing management, human resource management, operational analysis, market research, accounting.
