Curtin College at Curtin University

This course is designed to help students to gain the theory and practical skills that they need to be confident and ready for the job market. Students will be taught by experienced staff and will have opportunities to interact with businesses and learn in real workplace scenarios. The Bachelor of Commerce comprises eight common core units, seven of these are completed in student’s first year of study. Students complete the eighth common core unit, Business Capstone, in their final year of study, which gives students the opportunity to take part in a competition to run the most successful virtual company.
Good knowledge of Accounts.
Major study in this course includes gaining of knowledge related to Accounting, Business Law, Economics, Business Information Systems, Management, Marketing and Communication in Business.
Students are eligible to this course if they have score 5 in GCE/STPM/HKALE (A-levels - best of three), score 24 in IB, score 60 in Ontario Gr 12 (best of 6), score 70 in TER (including TEE/SACE/HSC/VCE), score 53 in WAUFP (CPS), 65% in India/Pakistan, score 6 in Sri Lanka.
This course is recognised by key industry bodies such as CPA Australia, Australian Property Institute, Taxation Institute of Australia and the Australian Institute of Management.
Up on completing this course students will have career as Accountant, Marketing Officer, Business Systems Analyst, Industrial Relations Officer, Management Consultant, Economist, Tourist Information Officer, Advertising Account Executive, Financial Dealer and Broker.
