They also rely on IT professionals who can analyse and identify the issues, and propose the best systems solution. An information systems specialist analyses and maps out an organisation's business processes to work out how to optimise its operations. They design, deliver, test and implement IT systems and provide desktop or network support to staff. This major focuses on how information technology is used to collect, process and output information in organisations, and provides an in-depth knowledge of computer programming and design, and systems implementation and management.
Good knowledge of Computer Science.
Major study in this course includes gaining of knowledge related to programming and design, systems implementation, IT management.
Students are eligible to this course if they have score 5 in GCE/STPM/HKALE (A-levels - best of three), score 24 in IB, score 60 in Ontario Gr 12 (best of 6), score 70 in TER (including TEE/SACE/HSC/VCE), score 53 in WAUFP (CPS), 65% in India/Pakistan, score 6 in Sri Lanka.
This course is accredited by Australian Computer Society Foundation (ACSF).
