This dynamic and innovative course will qualify students to practice as a professional interior designer. Professionals working in interior architecture are able to offer creative, proactive and innovative solutions to exciting changes that are currently happening in places such as airports, hospitals and schools. Considerations include functionality, the quality of the interior environment through lighting, ventilation and acoustics, the integration of furniture, in association with planning, spatial design, design development, construction documentation and contract administration. These are balanced by theory and experimentation with student’s own ideas in a design studio. This course provides students with a solid foundation in the theoretical aspects of design, combined with a technical knowledge of interior construction, equipment and building systems.
Good Knowledge of Mathematics.
Major study in this course includes gaining of knowledge related to theoretical aspects of design, combined with a technical knowledge of interior construction, equipment and building systems.
Students are eligible to this course if they have score 5 in GCE/STPM/HKALE (A-levels - best of three), score 24 in IB, score 60 in Ontario Gr 12 (best of 6), score 70 in TER (including TEE/SACE/HSC/VCE), score 53 in WAUFP (CPS), 65% in India/Pakistan, score 6 in Sri Lanka.
This course is accredited by Interior Design Interior Architecture Educators Association (IDEA).
Students of this course will have career as an interior designers or architects.
