This innovative degree is designed to equip students with the theoretical and practical skills required for a career in health promotion. Health promotion maintains and improves the health of populations by: developing people's skills and knowledge, working with communities, creating health environments, changing policies and laws to support health choices, encouraging health services to promote health.
Good knowledge of Human Biology and Mathematics.
Major study in this course includes gaining of knowledge related to public health, Indigenous health, psychology, sociology, human biology, professional communication skills.
Students are eligible to this course if they have score 5 in GCE/STPM/HKALE (A-levels - best of three), score 24 in IB, score 60 in Ontario Gr 12 (best of 6), score 70 in TER (including TEE/SACE/HSC/VCE), score 53 in WAUFP (CPS), 65% in India/Pakistan, score 6 in Sri Lanka.
This course is accredited by Australian Health Promotion Association.
Students of this course will have career as Health promotion officer, coordinator, manager, Health promotion planning and development officer/manager, Health promotion research and evaluation officer/manager, Project officer/manager, Campaign officer/manager.
