This degree has been designed to help students to develop the conceptual and decision making skills necessary for effective management in the continuously changing domestic and international field of professional accounting. This course has a strong emphasis on developing analytical skills and offers a solid grounding and professional competence in all aspects of commerce required for careers in the private or public sectors. Monash graduates carry with them the University's excellent international reputation as a leader in business and economics education and research.
Good knowledge of accounting skills.
Major studies include Accounting principles, Auditing ,taxation ,relevant areas of business law,financial management. Students can also examine the development and communication of information relating to the financial performance of organisations, learn to prepare reports and give advice on an organisation's record-keeping and compliance requirements.
To be eligible to this course students should normally achieve at least a 60% average to be considered for admission. All applicants should note that the English and mathematics prerequisites for the courses must be satisfied.
Up on completion of this degree students get professional accreditation by Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) and Associate membership of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
Depending upon the subjects taken, graduates can seek positions as accountants, banking and finance analysts, or managers.
First Semester (March), Second Semester (July)
IELTS 6.5 no band lower than 6.0, TOEFL 550 with a TWE of 4.5 or an internet-based TEOFL score of at least 79 with 21 in writing, 18 in speaking, 13 in reading and 12 in listening.
