This degree is designed to meet academic and vocational requirements for a career in the finance industry. It provides a comprehensive understanding of all areas of finance and develops a thorough grasp of issues faced when working for a finance-related organisation, such as a listed trading bank, stockbroking firm, insurance or financial planning company, financial consulting organisation or the Reserve Bank of Australia.
Good knowledge of Accounts.
Gaining of knowledge related to Business Foundations, Accounting and Finance for Business, Business Economics, and Business Analytics, Accounting for Management Decisions, and Fundamentals of Finance, introduce students to the principles of accounting and finance are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
Students are eligible to this course if they have completion of VCE and units 3 and 4 with study score of at least 25 in English (ESL) or 20 English (any). Applicants with comparable qualifications will be considered. A limited number of students may also be considered under Special Entry Schemes.
This course is accredited by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Students will be prepared for careers in mergers and acquisitions, foreign exchange, securities and loans, money marketing, financial forecasting, dealing in bonds, stocks and the money market, and selling financial products.
