This double degree course reflects the integration of electronic engineering and computer science in the rapidly expanding area of information technology. The course aims to produce engineering professionals who have core skills in hardware and software engineering. This double degree is of six years’ full-time or equivalent part-time duration and requires the completion of 690 credit points overall. Students may complete this double degree in five years as part of an accelerated study program.

Gaining of knowledge related to Number Systems and Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Principles of Physics, C Programming for Engineers and Scientists, Calculus and Differential Equations, Engineering CAD, Introductory Electronics, Basic Electronic Circuits, Linear Circuits and Signals, Microprocessors and Digital Design, Vector Calculus, Analogue Circuits and Interfacing, Digital Design with Programmable Logic, Electromagnetism and Modern Materials, Linear Algebra, Algorithms and Data Structures, Communication Systems, System Design and Methodologies, Electronic Design Automation – Tools and Techniques, Electromagnetism and Modern Materials are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
The course is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
Students could find jobs in areas as diverse as consumer and professional electronics, robotics, defence, broadcasting and telecommunications, web development, interface design, security issues and mobile computing.
