The Bachelor of Electronic Technology is a three-year course that prepares students for the profession of engineering technology in the field of electronics. It introduces students to electronic engineering technology and develops an understanding of the pure and engineering sciences, computing, mathematics and management practices needed in the profession of electronic technology. Students develop an appreciation of the role of engineering technologists in the community, and an awareness of the social and environmental effects of their decisions. Graduates may apply for membership of Engineers Australia at the grade of Affiliate and seek employment in industry as an engineering technologist.
Good knowledge of Mathematics and Physics.
Gaining of knowledge related to Introductory Electronics, Calculus and Probability for Engineers, C Programming for Engineers and Scientists, Principles of Physics, Basic Electronic Circuits, Calculus and Linear Algebra, Engineering Practice, Analogue Circuits and Interfacing, Electrical Power, Microprocessors and Digital Design, Vector Calculus, Digital Design with Programmable Logic, Linear Circuits and Signals, Linear Algebra are the concepts included as major parts in this course.
This course is accredited by Engineers Australia.
Students of this course will have work in research and development, communications, microelectronics, hospitals and medical equipment, automotive industry, defense organizations, quality control, and electronic equipment design and manufacturing.
