This program is designed to help students to succeed in a variety of IT roles. It includes a practical teamwork project for external clients or can undertake an off-campus course in industry giving students the first-hand experience of the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to succeed. During studies, Students will work with fellow students to analyze, develop and implement an effective computer-based solution to a business problem.
Good knowledge of information technology.
Major studies include gaining of IT skills, manage and develop business information systems for accounting, marketing and finance. Development of skills related to mobile commerce, wireless networks, social media, managing customer and supplier relationships, cloud computing.
The Bachelor of Information Technology is accredited by the Australian Computer Society.
Depending on area of specialization students can have a stimulating career in commerce, industry, corporate IT, government or private consulting, not only because of understanding of the role of information technology, but because students need to be an innovative thinker with good communication and design skills.
A minimum overall band score of 6.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 5.5, a minimum score of 550 on TOEFL or an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no score less than 19).
